RosNOU and MIET Joint Master Degree Program “Criminal-Legal Combating Crimes in the Field of High Technologies”

In 2019, the Russian New University (RosNOU), in collaboration with the National Research University of Electronic Technology (MIET), launched the admission to the new joint master degree program “Criminal-Legal Combating Crimes in the Field of High Technologies” (training direction “Jurisprudence”).

The concept of the educational program is to combine legal and technical knowledge and skills. The curriculum includes object-oriented programming; forensic investigation of virtual tracks; investigative tactics in high-tech criminal cases; high-level language programming; secure information systems; information security management and many other modern disciplines that allow students to gain professional competence at the interface of law and technology.

Launching a new field of study relates to the rapid changes in society and the state. Business is actively introducing innovations into its processes, and cybercrime and criminal incidents in the digital space are among the topical issues. According to Presidential Decree No. 203 of May 9, 2017, “On the Strategy for the Development of the Information Society in the Russian Federation for 2017–2030,” in the coming years, specialists, who have knowledge not only in the field of law, but also in high technology, will be required.

The main areas for the employment of graduates of the master degree program “Criminal-Legal Combating Crimes in the Field of High Technologies” are the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, the prosecutor’s office, the trial advocacy, consulting companies.

Classes are held in Zelenograd in the evenings. Full-time form of education.
