On April 17, 2019, the Rating Agency RUR published the results of the international ranking of the Round University Ranking for 2019.
“74 universities from Russia are represented in the ranking of RUR universities, this result allowed our country to take second place in the ranking,” – noted the editor of the RUR ranking Oleg Solovyov. – “Russia lagged behind only the United States, from which 140 universities were included into the rating. The third place is occupied by the United Kingdom with 68 universities represented in the ranking, the fourth of the PRC – 64 universities.”
In 2019, RUR included 820 universities from 74 countries. Harvard came to the top of the ranking, Lomonosov Moscow State University leads a group of Russian universities.
In RUR 20 indicators were applied, assessing the activities of universities in four areas: the quality of teaching, the quality of research, the level of internationalization and the level of financial sustainability.
Among the 74 Russian universities participating in the rating, the Russian New University (RosNOU) ranked 53rd place. Experts especially noted the quality of teaching in RosNOU.
